Myrlaine Darius, Office Manager

Before Myrlaine became the office manager for Kid’s Creek Therapy in 2018, she worked as a patient care coordinator and then as office manager in a physical therapy clinic in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. She is our resident “insurance guru”, always making herself available to assist clients with insurance questions and explaining the ins and outs of insurance and benefits.

Myrlaine is passionate about supporting others, choosing to advocate for the children in our care, as well as their parents. When she isn’t at work, she really loves spending time and making memories with her family and advocating equality for minorities.


Penny Navarro, Front Desk/Scheduling Coordinator

Penny Navarro is the face that most often greets our families at the front desk or on the phone as our scheduling coordinator. Before she came to Kid’s Creek, Penny worked with children for two decades as a Certified Paraprofessional until she decided to move into pediatric healthcare. Penny has a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Clayton State University and is planning to pursue a masters degree in ABA Therapy. Penny is married with a teenage daughter and enjoys cooking, entertaining and travel.


Cheryl Puckett, Controller

Cheryl Puckett is our controller, and while she’s an important member of our team, she works remotely from a suburb of Birmingham so it’s unlikely you’ll run into her at our office. Despite the distance, Cheryl is a great fit for Kid’s Creek Therapy due to her passion for special needs children and their families and her prior experience in accounting for a major health insurer. She has worked with us since 2007, but she has been an acquaintance of Melanie McGriff, clinic director, for three decades.

Cheryl is an avid distance runner, as are her two daughters, and her free time is spent on the roads or watching one of her daughters run or her son play whatever sport happens to be in season.
