Mehavi Patel, MOT, OTR/L
Bachelor of Science in Psychology, University of Georgia
Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, Columbia University
Mehavi always knew she wanted to work with children and her path to occupational therapy began right here at Kid’s Creek when she was a college student and decided to shadow an OT. After just one day, she fell in love with OT and pursued her master’s degree in occupational therapy. She was placed in our office on a rotation as an OT student and eventually returned here full-time.
Mehavi loves being able to make therapy fun and to personalize it for each child she treats so that they will look forward to coming back, and is especially drawn to treating infants and toddlers. She has experience working with children with autism, those with sensory processing challenges, and children who need help with fine motor skills.
Mehavi grew up in Duluth, lived in Athens and then New York City while pursuing her degrees, and now lives in Suwanee. Away from work she loves movies, Bollywood dance, and hanging out with her large family and friends.
