Many of our staff came to their careers after working with children who needed a little extra help, but it was her experience as a mom whose child needed speech therapy that led Jennifer to become a speech-language pathologist. Her daughter was born at 28 weeks gestation and received early intervention – she thought the speech therapy looked like fun! As a little girl, Jennifer would line up her stuffed animals and “teach” them and as she grew older she had a big heart for children with learning difficulties; all of these factors made her a natural fit for pediatric therapy. Jennifer began her career as an SLP in school environments working with students with dyslexia and language-based learning disabilities or non-verbal learning disabilities before moving into private practice.
Jennifer lives in nearby Suwanee, which she prefers to the cold winters of her native New Hampshire. She loves Harry Potter, travel to warm climates, reading, and yoga. She also enjoys road trips, finding new restaurants and coffee houses, and supporting single mothers because she knows what it’s like to be a single mom.
