Growing up, Karlie experienced her own sensory sensitives which led to her passion for occupational therapy and her ability to connect with children experiencing similar challenges. She has coached Special Olympics, volunteered for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and spent a summer in Ireland working alongside experienced occupational and physical therapists with young adults with developmental disabilities. Karlie enjoys working as an occupational therapist because it allows her to use her creativity and clinical knowledge to provide the best care to help her kiddos overcome challenges to foster developmental success.
Karlie’s areas of expertise are sensory integration, sequential oral sensory (SOS) feeding approach, visual motor, ocular motor, and visual perceptual development. She has received continuing education training in Integrated Listening Systems (iLS), Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding approach, Sensory Processing Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Vision-Based Approach to Torticollis, and NICU interventions. During her free time, her favorite activities include cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, playing tennis, and spending time with her family. She lives in Dunwoody with her husband and two sons.
