Karlie Wetherington, M.S., OTR/L
Master of Occupational Therapy, Georgia State University
Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Behavior, University of Georgia
Karlie is a Johns Creek native who grew up teaching swimming lessons and coaching swim team and fell in love with helping children. She has coached Special Olympics, volunteered for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and spent a summer in Ireland working alongside experienced occupational and physical therapists with young adults with developmental disabilities. Because every child is unique and requires a personalized treatment plan, she enjoys working as an occupational therapist because it allows her to use her creativity to find the best treatment approach to help her kiddos overcome challenges and be successful.
Karlie has received continuing education training in Integrated Listening Systems (iLS), Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding approach, Sensory Processing Disorders, and NICU interventions. During her free time, her favorite activities include cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, playing tennis, going on walks with her dog, and spending time with her family. She lives in Brookhaven with her husband and son.
