Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Auburn University
Because many of her family members work in healthcare, Alexis knew from an early age that she wanted to do the same. It was important to her to work with children and to build relationships with her patients and their families, so speech therapy was a natural fit for her interests.
Alexis has previously worked at the Auburn University Speech and Hearing Clinic and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Craniofacial Center. She has a special interest in working with children with craniofacial anomalies, the anatomy and physiology of articulation disorders, and augmentative-alternative communication (AAC).
Although Alexis grew up in Birmingham she now lives in Brookhaven with her husband. Because of her love of travel and desire to help with children with craniofacial anomalies, she is a supporter of Operation Smile. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, going to the lake, and cheering on her beloved Auburn Tigers.
